As a kid my dad worked in downtown Cleveland. At Christmas my mom would take us down town on the rapid transit. We would see the Christmas lights at Tower City, Visit Mr. Jingaling, see Bruce the talking Spruce and ride the train in May Company.
Tower City has changed quite a bit since those days, but we still make the annual trip.
Kyton had fun throwing coins into the fountain.
Kyton had the best ride in town!
For the first time in years Bruce was back. We asked him if he remembered us from when we were kids, and of course he said that he did. Incase you were wondering he talks to Santa. So kids tell him what they want for Christmas and he communicates that to the big man.
The actual square no longer has ice-skating as it used to, but there are still pretty lights.
My dad, a diehard Browns fan, still carried Kyton with his Steelers hat through downtown Cleveland.
My sisters
I know that I have a few Cleveland readers, so anyone else visit Tower City as a kid, or recently?

These pictures are so great! What a great time to take Kyton to where you used to go as a kid! :) Fun! :)
I haven't been in ages. I think we'll have to add it to the list for next year. :-)
oh, time has passed since I last saw Kyton...he is such a big boy now and such a little doll! Happy New Year to you and your family, Carly!
wonderful pictures!
first of all, LOVE the Big Smiles post below this one. He's a darling boy. Of course I know that you know that I know, I don't need to tell you that.
This looks like an awesome place to go for a traditional annual trip. So fun and all the lights and wonderment of the time of year.
