We went to Celebration for the falling of the leaves. My goofy boy! I love him!

I just love the joy on his face in these photos.
Of course I could not get him to wear his costume, but I am happy to report that he did wear it for trick or treating on Halloween. He wanted to take it off be we reminded him that we’d had to stop trick or treating if he did. After a few requests he forgot he had it on.
One of the craft activities was gluing jelly belly beans to a picture. Kyton has the same idea as me that it was a waste of perfectly good Jelly Bellys to glue them on a poster.
I was pleased that they had some healthier snacks they were handing out and I think that we got about the same amount of candy at sea world as we did trick or treating over a mile.
In true Kyton fashion he was amused by the performing drummers.
Kyton surprised me and wanted to climb the 3 story rope net to the top of the play area. Once we got to the top the only way down was to crawl through tubes. This was not a problem for Kyton, but was challenging for me since I am just too big. He had to wait for me a number of times.
When we left the house it was a bit chilly and in the 70s so I didn’t pack Kyton’s swim clothes. By the afternoon it was in the low 80s and Kyton wanted to use the splash pad. Since I always carry a spare outfit I let him splash in his clothes.
Love the joy on his face!
Later on we found more drummers!
The light was gorgeous at the end of the day for a few photos of my gorgeous boy!
What did you do to celebrate Halloween?

With our schedules Sunday afternoon is the only significant time that we have together as a family, so we try to make the most of it. We wanted to go to a zoo but Dylan gets home around 2pm. We figured that by the time we made it to a zoo it would be almost closing time. We were excited to find a local Boo at the Zoo event.
While we were waiting in line to get in Kyton laid down on the ground. Everyone waiting in line watched him for lack of anything better to do and he ate it up. He loves being the center of attention. Trains are his favorite at the moment so we got him a simple Thomas the train Halloween costume. He gets excited when he sees it, but won’t wear it for more than a few seconds. I’m not sure what we are going to do for Halloween if he won’t wear the costume…
He loves attention and is very affectionate.
Checking out the crocodile as batman flies overhead.
A rare family photo taken by a random person at the zoo.
At the end of the night Kyton was running around full of energy at the dance party and on the walkways as normal. We had two different people make the comment that he had eaten a lot of sugar that evening and would sleep well in the car. The only sugar Kyton had eaten that evening was apples and grapes, natural sugar. It’s funny that people think my son is on a sugar high when he is just his normal self. He stayed awake the entire hour car ride home and went to bed around midnight, which is his normal bed time.
A selfie from the train. Kyton LOVED the dance party at the end. He loves to move and loves feeling like he is the center of attention. We were a little disappointed that most of the animals were inside, but we did have a nice time with all of the exhibits, train ride and dancing.

So it wasn’t really a weekend, more like and overnight, but it’s all we get these days. The only time that all three of us are free at the same time is a few hours on Sunday afternoons where we usually have to catch up on house work. On this particular weekend I had Monday off, so we left for Daytona beach Sunday afternoon as soon as Dylan got home.
It sure was nice to have a little vacation, even if it was only for 24 hours! We hope to do another 24 hour trip soon, any suggestions close to Orlando?
