Happy it’s Friday

I’m loving this 4 day work week!  I could really get used to this.  I miss these smiling faces!

Sorry but here’s my little rant: I’m once again having difficulties with nursing and working. I was told that if I can’t make it 8 hours without a break to pump or nurse (on Saturdays) I must drop a class that I need to stay legal in my current teaching position.  I suggested I stay in the class and nurse under a cover, but I was told that I can't. No exceptions!

I left a comment on FB, but thought I'd put it here too. I'm pretty sure that's illegal. No one can tell you that you can't breastfeed or pump. It's considered a health condition. You can sue them for that.

what a hassle...i hope you do a little research on the subject! i, think what they are doing is illegal, as well. in 8 hours you are supposed to be given breaks and lunch/dinner...what you do with that time is not of their concern.

Report it to NABA: http://www.naba-breastfeeding.org/advocacy6.htm

They might help- if it was a workplace it would clearly be illegal but I have no idea if that applies to school.
