Dylan could not be happier, and to be honest I am just glad to see that everything is developing as it should. We actually found out the gender of our baby at 11 weeks! I had no idea that they could even tell at that point! We were not expecting to find out, and hadn't even discussed if we wanted to know or not. I am pretty sure that we would have chosen to know, but it was a surprise to find out so soon! The gender was confirmed at the 15 week ultrasound, and again at our 20 week ultrasound, so I am pretty sure they are correct. Dylan would have been equally happy with a girl, but sort of wanted a little boy so that he can teach him ‘man stuff.’
Another big highlight in the past week or so is that we can see him moving in my belly, and Dylan can feel the kicks. This boy moves all the time! He usually takes a little nap after lunch, but the rest of the time he’s kicking me non-stop. He even woke me up one morning with his kicks, and I could not get back to sleep. I sure hope that he sleeps more when he’s on the outside than he does now!
The best part of the ultrasound was the 4-D images.
This is another thing that I didn’t know that they could do at such a young age. It is so fun looking at our little man and trying to figure out who he looks like. I think he has Dylan’s chin, and Dylan thinks he looks like an old man! I mentioned before that Dylan is not the biggest fan of ultrasounds, well, after this he changed his mind. Who do you think he looks like?

I’m officially 20 weeks pregnant today!
I can feel the baby actually kicking me a lot more in the past week or two. Before I could feel the baby move, but not actually kicking. This baby is ACTIVE!! This morning I woke up and there was a lump on my belly, but only on the left side. When I pushed on it, I could feel the lump of the baby, and the other side there was nothing.
I also told my students yesterday. Actually, another teacher told one of my students, and that kid told everyone. I made it into a lesson and wrote a story about these students that are trying to figure out what is wrong with their teacher, and in the end they figure out that she is pregnant.
They are so funny! They asked me why I wasn’t fat and could not believe that there is a baby the size of a cantaloupe in my belly. Another teacher told me that one of my students was talking to her and trying to figure out how I could be pregnant when there are other teachers in the school that are fatter than me. So, I am really not that thin, but it’s nice to hear that. Who doesn't like to be told that they are skin? I am sure that in a month, they will be talking about how fat I am, so I have to hold on to these moments! In the past week and a half I’ve actually started to really show, and started to gain back some of the weight I lost in the first trimester. I still weigh less than pre-pregnancy.
I had Dylan take a picture of me since apparently the ones that I took were funny, so here it is…
If you saw me on the street would you think that I was pregnant or fat?

I spent the good portion of the evening updating my website, galleries and blog. Here’s a rundown of the changes:
I know that some of you mentioned that you could only get to the comments by clicking on a post. I figured out that this had to do with the html code in my template, so I changed that. If you still can’t see the comments below the post, let me know.
I also added a session blog post tab with a listing of blog posts for photography sessions. In addition I included a current promotions tab where I will list monthly specials for my photography business.
Regarding the baby…
Looking at the baby pictures make me more and more excited for the arrival of my own little one! I can’t wait to be able to hold and cuddle our little bundle of joy! I’ve always loved babies, and it is almost unbelievable that I am going to have a baby of my own! One that I get to hold and care for, and one that I don’t have to give back! Oh, I am so excited! It seems like forever until I actually get to meet my baby. I added a baby tab to the blog with a ticker counting down the days until I get to hold my little one!
I’ve been feeling much better for the most part. I still have times that I feel nauseous, but it is not all the time. I can deal with that. I’ve felt the baby move for a few weeks now, but the real kicking has started. This baby is a mover! I took a belly picture since in the past week, I finally look
pregnant fat. Dylan saw the pictures and laughed, so… they won’t be posted. Maybe sometime I’ll have him take a picture of me, and post that. We have another ultrasound on Monday. I’m excited, Dylan thinks that they are getting boring.
Check out some of the sweet babies I’ve photographed. One thing I’ve been pondering… I know that many photographers have music when you view their galleries. What do you think about that? I hate blogs that include music, and truthfully am not a fan on galleries. I did include it since it seems to be the standard, but I’d love to hear what you think.
