20 weeks!

I’m officially 20 weeks pregnant today!

I can feel the baby  actually kicking me a lot more in the past week or two.  Before I could feel the baby move, but not actually kicking.  This baby is ACTIVE!!  This morning I woke up and there was a lump on my belly, but only on the left side.  When I pushed on it, I could feel the lump of the baby, and the other side there was nothing.

I also told my students yesterday.  Actually, another teacher told one of my students, and that kid told everyone.  I made it into a lesson and wrote a story about these students that are trying to figure out what is wrong with their teacher, and in the end they figure out that she is pregnant.

They are so funny!  They asked me why I wasn’t fat and could not believe that there is a baby the size of a cantaloupe in my belly. Another teacher told me that one of my students was talking to her and trying to figure out how I could be pregnant when there are other teachers in the school that are fatter than me.  So, I am really not that thin, but it’s nice to hear that.  Who doesn't like to be told that they are skin?  I am sure that in a month, they will be talking about how fat I am, so I have to hold on to these moments!  In the past week and a half I’ve actually started to really show, and started to gain back some of the weight I lost in the first trimester.  I still weigh less than pre-pregnancy.

I had Dylan take a picture of me since apparently the ones that I took were funny, so here it is…

If you saw me on the street would you think that I was pregnant or fat?

Beautiful! I lost 12 pounds in my first trimester. Funny how that happens, huh? I think you look great! :)

The only reason I would think you might be pregnant is because I looked the same way you did at 20 weeks with Taylor. Mason was a different story LOL! You look great, enjoy every moment.

You look fabulous and it looks like a baby bump! So at 20 weeks, are you deciding to keep gender a surprise since that's usually the big ultrasound?

I probably wouldn't even notice. I'd just think you looked very good!

Hey Carly, so funny: we seem to be equally far along to the day!!! Rebecca told me you thought I was showing more at 18 weeks (fb pic), but if I compare myself with your photos here I think we're pretty similar :) We're probably the same length and build as well (5'9-10"-ish and 146 lb pre-preg?). So fun to see/hear from someone at the same stage! Keep the pics coming, they're gorgeous...

Oops, the Nathan in my name is from a course I gave with my colleague a while ago, we were setting up a discussion page haha. I'll remove it. It's just Trynke :)

I hate that "fat or pregnant" stage of pregnancy! I think you look great, though; the rest of you is so slim, I don't think anyone would think you'd have a belly other than to carry a baby, know what I mean?

And yes, if you were nauseaus in your first tri, you are more likely to see the nausea come back in your third. That didn't happen to me the first time around, but it has this time. Lovely, huh???
