I was very excited today when I looked at the results from the Over My head contest on I heart faces and my picture was chosen as a favorite! There were 500 amazing entries, so to even be considered is a great honor! To be honest, I checked the page to see some amazing photos, not expecting my photo to be on the page. Thanks to Helen for giving me such a cute model! (More pictures from Helen’s session here)_________________________________________________________________________________
My sis took us to the tide pools on the southern tip of San Diego. We were so far south that we actually had Mexican cell phone reception. It was a beautiful area full of many sea creatures.
We started with a beautiful walk down the cliffs.
So many details in the rocks!
Enjoying the amazing coastline!
we made it!
I love the vibrant color my sister was wearing next to the green of the stones.
My sis and Rich know pretty much everything about the critters.
The crab on the left is one of my favorites.
anemones
According to my sis, the photo on the left is an anemone that uses rocks to protect itself when the water is not covering it.
Dylan held a crab for the first time (right)
We climbed around the rocks and into this little cave.

One other note, in my last post I gave the wrong name for the beach, but it is corrected, also check out Carolyn’s comment on some history of the area.

Those rocks are incredible!
Happy SSS greetings from Casablanca!
I'd risk those narrow edges just to get a closer view of the critters in the pools too!
what a wonderful display. I like the third row, the almost B & W beach,
Thanks for the tour of this lovely place!

What a stunning photo album you've let us peek into. Very beautiful photography.
Great photos you have here! Makes me wanna try out hiking or rock climbing for a change!
Why not try going on a holiday trip to the UK? Newquay holidays is associated with many golden beaches, bustling atmosphere and family attractions waiting to welcome guests at any time of the year. Fantastic locations and great customer service.
This is also one on my bucket list. =)
Thanks for the compliment! But I actually know barely anything about the sea creatures compared to what there is to know about them. One comment: on the aggregating anenomes photo is actually a bunch of anenomes covered with bits of shell and rock, not just one.
Beautiful pictures thanks for taking them!
