What type of flower is that?

I had a few readers asking what type of flower Dylan is holding in the I heart Faces entry this week.
The bad news... I have no idea what type of flower it is.
The good news...I have a few stunning pictures of the tree from which the flower fell.

Does anyone know what type of tree this is?

I don't think it's either one of the two mentioned above, I just googled the trees she posted. But I would dearly LOVE to know too. Are the trees photographed in Florida?

Yes, it is in Florida in Saint Petersburg. Just outside the museum of art.

DESCRIPTION: Opened in 1965, the museum exterior has a well-deserved aura of substance and international appeal as you approach the giant Kapok tropical tree out front
