I was going through old pictures and found a few that I had forgotten about from about a month ago. One of my friend’s parents live in the retirement city The Villages.
I’ve never seen so many golf carts in one place… that was not a golf course.
The have music every since night!
The DJ was great. He had a dance for every song he played.
All of the residents knew the moves…. we had to learn.
I’ve never seen so many senior in one place… ever.
It was not at all what I expected, and worth the trip.
After visiting, I wanted to be old.

That's an interesting place, but after looking at the pictures I don't think I want to be there.
Actually, using the golf carts makes a lot of sense! Colorful pics!

It's great to see your photos of The Villas, they advertise heavily here on TV. I find all those golf carts amusing.

Catalina Island, off the coast of southern California by 26 miles, is the home of many many golf carts. The residents do not drive regular cars...none are seen on the island except a few "official cars by city officials." There are a few tour buses, etc. and also, a LOT of bicycles and motor scooters. It is quite fun to go there and rent a golf cart for a day or two!

I read all the rich people retire in Florida. I too would like a golf cart when I am old, no need for driver's licence.
I think retirement villages would be so much fun! Especially this one!
