A Photographers nightmare

We were driving along the beautiful mountains of Vermont. The sky was a vibrant blue, the mountains were slightly snow-capped and the wildflowers were in full bloom. It could not have been more perfect! Of course I reached for my camera, when I realized that I HAD FORGOTTEN MY CAMERA!!!

That was the moment that I realized what a dork I am. I had my first photographers dream/nightmare. Forget the typical forgetting to put clothes on, now my biggest nightmare is forgetting my camera??

Does anyone else dream of photography?

What a great shadow shot!! Love the squirrel! Hope you're having a great weekend so far, Carly! I rarely have dreams that I can remember, but I do hate to discover that I had forgotten to take my camera with me! Particularly since we are getting sun these days!

That seem like a truly BAD dream! Happily you woke up...the watery views are nice and peaceful. I like the martini glass, the slight stem and cone shape leaves a wonderful shadow, too!

Love your photos...
I had one of those moments recently. We were driving down the freeway at night and ran into a traffic jam. A guy had driven off the shoulder and his car came to rest on it's side, flush with the tall block sound wall. It totally looked like he was driving down the wall...
I reached for my camera...it was at home!

I've been in the same situation; but hope the power of suggestion does not work on me. lol

Great squirrel shot.

Love that hint of light crossing over the shadow of the glass! Very lovely! And enjoyed your monochrome landscapes too! Forget the camera!??? What a hideous thought!

Eek. I'm not even a hobbyist photographer and I hate it when I forget my camera. I imagine it must be a real nightmare for professional photographers.

Still, these are all beautiful photos!

Have a sweet, Scenic Sunday! :)

I've just learned not to second guess myself, inevitably, if I don't take my camera, a shot will appear that I just couldn't live without...it goes with me everywhere!!!

Wonderful shots. The squirrel is too cute! The first one is quite intriguing. Man made river or fountain?

These are great shots! I really like the one of the squirrel. I can't say that I've dreamed about forgetting my camera... I forget to take it with me sometimes for real! I missed some gorgeous sunsets the other day because I had forgot to put it back in my bag. Talk about disappointing.

It seems like every time I see the perfect shot, I don't have my camera with me and when I do, there never seems to be good shots. Murphy's law I guess.
I like all your shots, especially the little squirrel!!

People forget to pack their toothbrush...NOT their camera! Oh...so sad. What fabulous photos you could have taken on that trip...feel better? Sorry...I just feel your frustration.

I love the shadow shot the most! That is VERY cool!

I'm sure I dream about photography but I seldom remember. I have learned to take my camera everywhere ... just in case. Love ALL your photos but today the squirrel and the shadow shot of the glass are my faves ;-)
Hugs and blessings,
