Wordless Wednesday
When we first saw this it looked like an animal. Soon we realized it was just a crazy looking plant.

Watery, Outdoor Wednesday
For the last part of the trip to the ruins we rode on a hand cranked boat that went across the river. The guy who usually cranks visitors across gladly let us give it a try.

The tools that are used to chop off heads... not really. They told us some CRAZY stories of the Mayans and their traditions. I would assume that these tools were used to maintain the area, but I only saw them laying there....

Sounds like a great way to spend Thanksgivng!
How beautiful! And, that photo of the weird plant really does look like a bunch of lizards on the branch! It looks like you both had a very nice time celebrating the holiday! Good for you!
Ya got me with the chop off heads...I did a second look before I read the rest of the post. :)
Another wonderful post ... that first shot had me spell bound, but I finally dragged myself away to enjoy the others. I did my multi-tasking yesterday at Happily Retired Gal but ended up sharing more Watery Wednesday weather related photos at Small Reflections this morning ... just because.
Hugs and blessings,
Lots of great and funny pics!
