The view from my window Friday

The top 2 pictures were taken in an area outside my window at work.  I continue to stare off into the distance at fountains and lakes, but today I took a little walk.

Pet Pride & Camera Critters

I have a story of a naughty kitty, well sort of.  I was sitting on the back patio working on my computer the other day after work when I heard the door bell ring.  I instantly knew that it was the neighbor kid who comes over pretty much every day asking to do something for $$$.   I was eating a bagel and was unsure if the cat would touch it, so I covered it in a towel because by this time the kid was POUNDING on the door.  When I returned the cat was on the table eating my bagel.  I was mad, but at the same time, I have to put part of the blame on myself (oh, and the neighbor kid.)  Since I was not about to finish the bagel I gave what was left of it to another cat so that I was not rewarding the negative behavior.

Photo Friday
The theme this week is vehicles.  I believe that this is a WW2 vehicle that was in the veterans park I recently visited.

Carly, the 'beach person' on my blog is a large sculpture on the beach, not an actual child. It has actually caused some controversy in Sydney. The artist was originally asked to put speedos on his artwork but removed them on the second day. He defended his actions by saying that great artworks like the Statue of David or the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel by Michalengelo are not censored, so he should never have been asked to censor his sculpture.

Carly, I really like your reflections photo. It's gorgeous.

Your story about the cat is funny, but I could see how you'd be mad at the time it happened. My dog is 14 years old and has incontinence. She takes medication to help alleviate it but sometimes, it doesn't work. Today, I took her for a drive out to the lake. We walked around, she peed several times and when we got into the car to head home I look over at her after about a mile or so and she is pretty much soaking wet. I had a towel in the car and wiped her off and all the way home, which is about a 30 mile drive, she was gushing pee. Even though she couldn't help it, I still got a little mad. Ugh. My poor baby.

Wow, the colors in the reflection photo are almost surreal. What a beautiful sunset. And your kitty story is so funny (I'm sure not to you at the time) Our cat ignores our food completely unless there are dairy products involved, in which case you better guard it with your life. She does have a special fondness for Blue Bell ice cream! Kathy

Nice moody photo Carly. It would have been spoiled had it been in focus.

The first sky is beautiful. This is the perfect transition from day to night, the colors of the horizon small at the day slips into the moonlit night. Absolutely lovely!

Beautiful colors in these shots! I love how serene the Weekend Reflections one is.

I read that you bought a camera and I am just wondering what kind? My husband bought me a Canon Rebel XSi last christmas and I LOVE IT! I'm learning more and more everyday and it's so much fun. :)
