Weekend reflections and sky watch were taken at the lakefront on a rather cloudy day and dreary day. With the tropical storm that passed by this week, we had a few days that were humid and cloudy. This particular day the rain stopped later in the day, but the sun never did show up.

Photo Friday - two is company and three is a crowd
It seems that the sand-hill cranes can often be found in groups of 3. It seems strange, but as I watched them it seemed like one watched out while the other 2 ate. If you have 3 in your group, you get to spend more time eating.

Great series...what a treat to see the cranes...I would love to see them in person...
A solitary bird (nice shot) and the threes. A triangle is a very strong structure because each angle braces the other.

The sky is beautiful, with the variety of grays swirling around their axis nicely! There are so many shades of gray, we don't often associate gray with beautiful skies!
I like the birds, I'm sot sure if they are Egrets or not. The selection of water liking birds must be great in Florida. Nice pictures!

Wow! I love the flying cranes with their outstretched legs! What beautiful creatures...the ominous sky is always an amazing sight to me, and Florida has a lot of them. Very nice photos and posts!

Those three birds in the air is really a cool shot. I love it. I think of planes at an airshow flying overhead in formation.
