Photo Friday - Autumn & the cat

 Autumn
I have lived in Florida for the past few years, and this year it has finally hit me that the leaves really don't change. My in-laws flew in last night and brought bright vibrant fall leaves from Pennsylvania. If people can be home-sick, is it possible that I am falls it possilbe to be fall-sick.

In case you are not sure what the picture is, I scattered the leaves in our palm tree.  I will definitely be visiting other posts at Photo Friday.

I was trying to take pictures of my handsome hubby when this guy decided he wanted to be a part of the picture.

Wonderful kitty and I know just what you mean about missing fall. I miss the colorful leaves falling, too. Don't get that down here in the *tropics*!

I like your photo. That's one way to get the colors of fall. Maybe you should capitalize on that, after all, some people make fake snow to play in.

We have lots of fall here in Seattle and it's in full swing now! But the doggies don't mind and as long as I don't get rained on too much, neither do I. Our colors are beautiful! Handsome kitty there, great scene stealers they are!

We don't get Fall here in Southern California at the beach either ... but I love the 'virtual' color in the Blogosphere. Funny how cats do this kind of thing, eh?

Carly, I know exactly what you mean about being fall-sick. After living in Montreal and spending an autumn in Vt. as well, my soul and our daughter's crave the wonders of autumn leaves.
When our daughter lived in the middle of nowhere in a tiny opal mining settlement in the desert, the Prof flew me up there with a big bag of autumn leaves which I scattered around her doorstep.

Re. close up photography, are you using the close-up setting on your camera? Probably with a picture of a single flower head on it. A combination of that and full extention of the telephoto will give you the clarity I am getting now. I don't have a macro lens so I mainly work with my 18-135mm work horse. Hope this heps.
